The industry was earlier granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2023/23829348 dated 25/10/2023, upto 30/06/2028 for production of Printing of fabrics @ 03 TPD, Dyeing & Washing of all type of fabrics @ 6 TPD, Steting of fabrics @ 12 TPD, Raising of fabrics @ 06 TPD, Shearing of fabrics @ 06 TPD and Knitting of yarn @ 7.5 TPD and for discharge trade effluent @ 348 KLD and domestic effluent @ 02 KLD into CETP of 40 MLD (Focal Point Module) with certain conditions…………………………………….
Consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2019/10199622 dated 07/08/2019, upto 30/06/2024 for Pet Coke/ Briquette/ Agriculture Waste as fuel in its one package boiler of capacity 02 TPH attached with cyclone followed by double stage alkali scrubber as APCD and one thermopack of capacity 1000 U with cyclone followed by double stage alkali scrubber as APCD and 03 DG sets of capacities 01x300 KVA equipped with acoustic enclosure and remaining 02 DG sets 01x250 KVA & 01x32 KVA equipped with canopy and for production of printing of fabrics @ 02 TPD, dyeing/washing of fabrics @ 04 TPD, Stenting of fabrics @ 08 TPD, Raising of fabrics @ 04 TPD and Shearing fabrics @ 04 TPD……………………..
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 through OCMMS on 28.06.2024 for same raw material and production with quantity already granted in varied CTO under the Water Act, 1974 on 02.05.2022 i.e. Printing of fabrics @ 03 TPD, Dyeing & Washing of all type of fabrics @ 6 TPD, Steting of fabrics @ 12 TPD, Raising of fabrics @ 06 TPD, Shearing of fabrics @ 06 TPD and Knitting of yarn @ 7.5 TPD…………………………………….
The industry has deposited consent fee, which is adequate upto 30.06.2029…………………………...
The site of the industry visited by the AEE of Regional Office on 05.07.2024 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit and engaged in dyeing of Fabrics.
2. The industry has obtained shares of 350 KLD of CETP 40 MLD.
3. The industry has installed 07 soft flow machines of capacities (02x450 Kg, 01x400 Kg, 02x300 Kg, 01x150 Kg & 01x50 Kg) for dyeing purpose.
4. The industry has installed one printing section at 1st floor.
5. The industry is abstracting ground water by 03 submersible pumps and is discharging its trade & domestic effluent into CETP 40 MLD.
6. The industry has installed a digital flow meter at the source of water supply and final outlet leading to CETP. The industry has installed SCADA system for connectivity with CETP server.
7. The industry has installed one package boiler of capacity 02 TPH attached with cyclone followed by double stage alkali scrubber as APCD with one thermopack of capacity 1000 U attached with cyclone followed by double stage alkali scrubber as APCD alongwith common stack height. The industry has now applied for Pet Coke/ Agro/ Wood as fuel in its one boiler of 02 TPH and one thermopack of 1000 U.
8. The latest stack emission sample was collected by the officer of the Board 01.09.2023 from the porthole of the common stack attached to the APCD connected with the boiler of capacity 03 TPH and thermopack of capacity 1000 U. During visit, the industry was using pet coke as fuel.As per analysis results concentration of SPM is found to be 232 mg/Nm3 against 500 mg/Nm3 which is within the permissible limits. Moreover, the industry is now complying with the guidelines No. (HQ-1)/Pet Coke/F-200/2010/478 dated 20.07.2010 for usage of pet coke as fuel.
9. The industry has installed 03 DG sets of capacities 01x300 KVA equipped with acoustic enclosure and remaining 03 DG sets 01x250 KVA & 01x32 KVA equipped with canopy.
As proposed by Regional Office, may if approved that varied consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2029 with suitable conditions.........
