It is intimated that the industry is a small scale red category electroplating unit.
The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The industry has submitted approved building plan from architect approved by Director of Factories, Punjab. The industry has submitted GST certificate dated 2023 as a proof of date of commissioning. The industry falls in Industrial zone i.e. Industrial Area –C.,. The industry has already obtained CLU for land measuring 2155 Sq yard located at Jaspal Bangar, Ludhiana vide letter no. 149 dated 20.02.2015 stating that the industry falls in industrial zone land use as per Master Plan, Ludhiana (2007-21). The above industry is a part of above CLU in which some area has been occupied by Kapson Industries and rest of the area is occupied by above industry.
The site of industry was visited by the AEE/JEE of this office on 23.05.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was not in operation during visit and engaged in electroplating process.
2. The representative of the industry informed that they have not started the unit yet. The industry shall start its operation after obtaining consent to operate of the Board.
3. The industry has signed agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Focal Point, Ludhiana @ 8000 Ltr/M for the treatment & disposal of trade effluent generated from electroplating process.
4. The industry has installed water meter at pipeline from where fresh water is consumed in process.
5. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer.
6. The industry has provided storage tank of capacity 6000 Ltr. The industry was advised to maintain the record of water consumption viz-a-viz effluent lifting whenever it comes in operation.
7. The industry has applied for fresh consent after depositing NOC regularization fee and the compliance to the conditions of the NOC is attached along with in annotated form. The compliance was verified during the visit and was found to be correct.
8. The industry has submitted building plan from architect approved by Director of Factory, Pb.
9. The industry is complying with the provisions under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2029 with usual conditions, please.
