Sir, it is intimated that the industry was granted consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, through vide no. R16FGSCTOW3679340 dated 29/02/2016 and R16FGSCTOA3679342 dated 29/02/2016, both valid up to 30/06/2020 for the manufacturing of MS Round & Square @ 06 MTD. However, the industry has now applied for the manufacturing of MS Round & Square @ 14 MTD.
The industry has submitted a reply regarding the increase in production capacity, but as discussed, the reply is not satisfactory.
In view of the above, if approved, the application of the industry may be returned with a request to rectify the application form.
