File Note: The industry was granted consent to operate vide nos. CTOW/Fresh/MKS/2022/17439730 dt. 18.02.2022, expired on 30.09.2023 and CTOA/Fresh/MKS/2022/17439709 dt. 09.02.2022, valid upto 30.09.2026 for production of Gazzak @ 4 TPD, Squash @ 5000 Ltr., Bhujia @ 1 TPD & Bakery Items @ 2 TPD. Now, the industry has applied for consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for the production of Gazzak @ 4 TPD, Squash @ 5000 Ltr., Bhujia @ 1 TPD & Bakery Items @ 2 TPD using Sugar, Dry Fruits, Jaggery, water etc. as raw material under orange category. There is no change in production capacity of the unit The industry has already deposited consent fee with previous applications, which is valid upto 30.09.2026. Now, the industry has submitted CA certificate with fixed assets of Rs. 441.79 lacs and accordingly deposited consent fees of Rs. 21,600/- each vide UTR No. N257232642045511 & N257232642049213 dt. 14.09.2023 under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 to make it adequate upto 30.09.2028. Further, the industry has deposited Rs. 5600/- vide R. No. 377409075 dt. 15.07.2024 as NOC regularization fee. The industry has submitted that there is increase in the value of building as we have completed the pending works of the building and have made some required amendments in the building. There is increase in the value of plant and machinery as initially after obtaining the Consent to Operate, we didn’t receive the quality of the product as desired and therefore, we decided to modernise the machinery to increase the efficiency of the plant and improve the quality of the product. There is no change in the quantity or type of product to be manufactured. We are depositing the required NOC regularisation fees and request you to grant us the Consent to Operate. The industry was visited by undersigned on 11.07.2024 and it was observed as under:- • The industry was in operation during visit. • The industry has installed 10 no. gas fired furnaces and has installed suction hood over these furnaces. The industry has installed wet scrubber as APCD to control the emission of these furnaces with re-circulation system. The same was found in operation. • The industry has installed gas fired baby boiler (capacity 500 Kgs) and with stack of adequate height. • The industry has installed Batch type ETP consist of screen chamber, O & G trap, collection tank, Clari-Flocculator (agitator), storage tank, pressure sand filter, activated carbon filter and sludge drying beds for treatment of effluent generated from the washing of floor/utensils, spillage water etc. During visit, washing process was not in operation. The treated trade effluent discharged onto adjoining land for plantation in an area of about 3 Kanals. • The industry has installed septic tank for treatment of domestic effluent and provision has been made to discharge the same onto land for plantation area. • The industry has installed one no. DG set of 62.5 KVA with canopy and stack of adequate height. The industry is complying with the provision of the the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 as well as conditions of consents to establish (NOC) granted to it. Keeping in view the above, if approved, it is recommended that case may be sent to Zonal Office, Bathinda for granted of consents to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 to the industry upto 30.09.2028 subject to suitable conditions Competency – SEE (Small/orange)
