File Note: It is submitted that the HCF has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (for hospital @ 10 beds) along with Copy of BMW Authorization, Agreement made with CBWTF valid up to 29/05/2029. The hospital has deposited Rs. 14000/- vide UTR No. N151243062872415 dated 30.05.2024 as consent fee under Air Act, 1981, Rs 500/- vide UTR No. N151243062986872 dated 30.05.2024 as application form fee, Rs. 1000/- vide UTR No. N151243062980367 dated 30.05.2024 as NOC regularization fee, Rs. 14000/- vide UTR No. N151243062981639 dated 30.05.2024 as consent fee under Water Act, 1974, which is adequate up to 30/09/2029. The Hospital was visited by undersigned on 17/07/2024 and observed as under: - 1. The Hospital comprising of 10 beds and is engaged in providing medical health services. 2. The HCF has provided color coded bins for segregation, collection of Bio-Medical Waste and segregation of Bio-Medical Waste was according to color codes. 3. The HCF has provided needle destroyer for shredding of needles. 4. The HCF is lifting its Bio-Medical Waste to CBMWTF and maintaining the record of the same. 5. The HCF has provided final collection room for storage of bio medical waste generated from its premises. 6. No Bio-Medical Waste found mixed with general waste. 7. The hospital has installed 02 no. D.G. set of capacity 40 KVA and 60 KVA, which are fitted with canopies and stack of adequate height. 8. The hospital is situated at Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar within MC limit and has connected with MC sewer for discharge of its effluent which further leads to STP installed by MC. The hospital is having bed capacity of 10 beds and competency to decide the case lies with Environmental Engineer. Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hospital up to 30/09/2029 with suitable terms & conditions along with special conditions that: - 1. The hospital will get effluent sample (combined liquid and domestic effluent) analyzed from an approved lab of the Board within 01month. 2. The hospital will renew its agreement time to time made with Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility well before its expiry and submit the copy of same in this office. 3. The HCF shall comply vide Head Office, no. 468 dated 31/08/2021 issued by Punjab Pollution Control Board.
