The Report / recommendations by RO be perused. The hotel a large scale red category unit. Earlier, the hotel was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 valid upto 31.3.2024 for monitoring purpose. The project proponent has yet to commission and monitoring is yet to be done. The project proponent has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981.
May If approved, consent to operate Under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted to hotel upto 31.3.2025 ( i.e. the adequacy of fee) with special conditions that
1) The project proponent shall commission & stabilize the sewage treatment plant well before the commissioning of hotel.
2) The project proponent shall inform the Regional Office-1, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Jalandhar at least 20-days before commissioning of the hotel for monitoring purpose.
3) Further, the Regional Office-1, Jalandhar shall be directed to verify the status, collect & get the effluent samples analyzed, within 01-month after commissioning of hotel and submit detailed report alongwith recommendations, accordingly.
