• Show cause notice for violation of the provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 and Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 was issued to the industry alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer on 12.03.2024, wherein it was decided that:-…………..
1. The industry shall ensure that the painting is executed in a separate enclosure/room with adequate air pollution control device, within 15 days………..
2. The industry shall apply for obtaining consents to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, within 15 daysalongwith all the requisite documents……………
3. Regional Office, Faridkot shall visit the industry immediately after 15 days to verify the compliance(s) made by it and process the applications to be applied by the industry under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, on merits…………..
• Now, the industry has applied for obtaining fresh 'consent to operate' under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of plastic toys @ 500 kgs/day using plastic granules @ 500 kg/day under green category………………
• If approved, the Regional Office, Faridkot be allowed to consider the application at their own level being a green category unit on merits. |
