It is submitted that the industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-I, Ludhiana on 03.07.2024 in which following decisions were taken:-
1. The industry shall discharge only domestic effluent onto land for plantation through septic tank.
2. The industry shall submit within 7 days Bank Guarantee of Rs. 1.00 lac as already imposed during hearing dated 15.05.2024.
3. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office shall verify submissions made by the industry and submit recommendations, accordingly.
Earlier, the industry was visited by the undersigned on 07.05.2024 and 14.05.2024 and was observed as under:-
1. It has provided septic tank to treat the domestic effluent and treated domestic effluent is discharged onto land for plantation.
2. The industry has submitted the bank guarantee of Rs.1.0 Lacs of HDFC bank Dugri Ludhiana bearing no. 035GT02242000002 of dated 14.07.2024 which is valid upto 17.07.2025.
Keeping in the view of above, it is recommending that Consent to Operate under the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2029.
