In view of the details mentioned by AEE above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 31.03.2026 i.e. up to validity of CTO fees with usual conditions and as per Board’s policy and subjected to following special conditions:- 1. The industry shall ensure that the discharge of effluent does not cross 773 KLD. 2. The industry shall keep the OCEMS operational at all time during the crushing season and submit calibration certificate every crushing season. 3. The industry shall ensure interlocking of Pollution Control Devices with its production processes (one way but not vice-versa) so as to ensure that whenever ETPs/PCDs are intentionally closed, the production also comes to halt and shall submit completion report in this regard to the Board within one month. 4. The industry shall obtain permission from Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) or Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA) for ground water withdrawal. competency: Hon'ble Chairman of the Board |
