It is intimated that the industry is a small-scale red category unit and is engaged in manufacturing of BASKETS DRESS/ GAURD @ 800 Numbers/day using CR Wire @ 0.500 Kg/day, HB Wire @ 0.500 Kg/day and PVC Powder @ 0.200 Kg/day as raw material.
Earlier the industry was issued Notice to issue directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 was issued to the industry with an opportunity of personal hearing before CEE, Ludhiana on 02.07.2024, wherein it was decided as under:-
1. EE, RO-4, Ludhiana shall verify the contentions of the industry and process the consent application on merits.
Now, the industry has applied for fresh Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS.
The industry has deposited fee amounting to Rs. 2800/-vide R. No. AXSK241430002025 dated 22.05.2024 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 2800/- vide R.no. AXSK241430002058 dated 22.05.2024 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.06.2025 (after deducting NOC and late penalty fee).
To verify the content of the application the industry was visited by this office on 23.07.2024 and it was observed as under: -
1. The industry was in operation and is engaged in zinc plating process.
2. The industry is located in designated area i.e. focal point, Phase-6.
3. The industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., D260-261, Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana for lifting of trade effluent @ 1000 ltr/month dated 18.01.2024.
4. The industry has provided water meter at the source of fresh water supply and the reading noted was 12.04 KL. The industry has now provided collection tank of capacity 2000 ltr
5. The industry has started maintaining the record of total water consumption viz-a-viz effluent lifted and record has been found in order. As per record the industry has consumed fresh water @ 6.7 KL from 21.03.2024 and has lifted out 4.5 KL to CETP operator and around 1500 ltr was lying stored in collection tank.
6. The industry has now provided pucca floor beneath the polluting process area.
7. The industry has submitted lease deed as proof of date of commissioning i.e. 01.03.2024.
8. The industry has submitted approved building plan approved by the Competent person.
The industry is now complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 of the Board.
In view of the above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30.06.2025 with suitable conditions as per the policy of the Board.
