Matter discussed with worthy CEE (P) on 23/7/2024. It is submitted that as per the report to RO, the industry has installed moulding machines of different capacities for manufacturing of PU foam material used in orthopedic product using different type of chemical and glue as raw material resulting generation to hazardous waste, therefore, the industry is not covered under green category.
However, in the JLPL industrial area where the industry is situated, only green category units are allowed. As per the letter submitted by the industry on 9/7/2024, the industry has intimated that it will shift the machinery (not covered in green category to another unit).
However, RO is required to verify the present status of operation of the said machinery as well as shifting schedule of the same.
As such, EE, RO, SAS Nagar may be asked to clarify the above observation so that further actin in the matter may be taken accordingly. |
