The point wise reply of the observations raised by the Competent Authority is attached herewith.
The industry is a re-processor engaged in manufacturing of ferrous sulphate. It is pertinent to mention here that the industry was issued directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for disconnection of electric supply available to the industry vide Board’s letter no. 7914-17 dated 21.11.2023 and same has been confirmed. The industry has applied for fresh consents alongwith restoration of electric connection. However, the industry is not complying with the SOPs prescribed for such units. In view of above, if approved the application of the industry be returned and industry be asked to apply the consents after removing the discrepancies and made compliance with the SOPs prescribed for such units. |
