In view of the note/ recommendations of EE, RO, SAS Nagar, varied consent to operate applied under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the service station upto 30.09.2025 subject to suitable conditions as per policy of the Board and following special conditions that:
1) The industry shall not carry out any activity in its premises which can change the category of unit from Orange to Red as prescribed by the Board.
2) The industry shall apply for obtaining authorization under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.
3) The industry shall obtain permission from PWRDA (if required) and shall comply with the regulations of PWRDA, at all times.
4) The industry shall not discharge any effluent at any unauthorized place by any unauthorized means i.e. shall not discharge any wastewater in any drain/ inland surface waters/ drain/ choe/ nallah/ onto land for stagnation at any time, under any circumstances.
5) The adequacy/ efficacy of the pollution control arrangements shall be the sole responsibility of the industry and the industry shall be bound to implement/ upgrade its pollution control arrangements as per the discretion of the Board to achieve the prescribed emission/ effluent standards, as amended from time to time.
6) The industry shall ensure that no nuisance is created in the vicinity of its premises from the operations of its service station. In case, any complaint is received against the unit, the Board shall be at liberty to revoke/ cancel this consent without giving any opportunity of hearing to the industry.
7) This consent to operate is being granted to the industry based upon the undertaking/ documents/ information submitted by it along with the online application form. The Board would be at liberty to take penal action against the industry and its responsible/ concerned person(s) in case information/ document is detected as incorrect/ false/ misleading at any point of time.
8) In case the industry fails to comply with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/or any other environmental law applicable to the industry and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time, action as deemed fit shall be taken against the industry.
Also, EE, RO, SAS Nagar may be asked to carry out the sampling of the treatment facility installed by the Service station within one month and send the report to this office accordingly.
