Sir, it is intimated that to verify the reply of the industry, the industry was visited by the AEE (OS) on 24/07/2024 and during visit, the industry was in operation and manual painting was ongoing. The representative has informed that there was minimal need for additional painting, and any minor requirements could be handled manually. Additionally, no washing activity was being carried out during the visit. The empty paint containers were stored in a separate room. The industry was advised to obtain authorization under Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Trans-boundary) Rules, 2016 for category 33.1 as well as category 5.1.
As such, if approved, it is recommended as under:
1. Show cause notice for refusal of varied consents to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be dropped.
2. The varied consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Complete Rolling Mill (Gearbox & Fly Wheel) @ 10 Numbers/Year may be granted upto 31/12/2032 with suitable conditions and additional conditions that:
a) The industry shall apply for obtaining authorization under Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Trans-boundary) Rules, 2016 for category 5.1 and category 33.1, immediately.
b) The industry shall comply with the guidelines of PWRDA.
c) The industry shall comply with all the Rules & Regulation issued by the Board for such type of industry.
d) The entrepreneur/industry shall obtain necessary statutory permissions /clearances from all other concerned departments.
e) The industry shall not generate and discharge any kind of Wastewater from the process.
f) The industry shall not install boiler/ furnace without prior written permission of the Board.
g) The industry shall obtain NOC of the Board, if it changes any of its product/capacity of the plant.
h) The industry shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities. |
