1. It is intimated that the industry is a small scale green category unit.
2. The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
3. The industry has deposited Rs. 9800/- vide UTR no 666595095 dated 16.07.2024 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Rs. 33600/- vide UTR no P187240333778971 dated 05.07.2024 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through IMPS and Rs. 700/- vide UTR no 666595095 dated 16.07.2024 as NOC fee, adequate upto 30.09.2030.
4. To verify the facts, the industry was visited by JEE (OS) of this office on 16.04.2024 & observed that:-
1. The industry is in operation during the visit.
2. The industry has installed PP machine and fresh plastic granules are used for manufacturing of poly bags for industrial use.
3. The domestic effluent from toilets is sent to septic tank.
4. The industry has submitted land use classification certificate from STP, MC, Jalandhar vide no. STP/727 dated 02.07.2024 as per which the industry is located in a residential zone. The industry was established before notification of Master Plan and is allowed to operate till 22.08.2025.
5. The industry has submitted approved building plan bearing seal of approved architect.
Recommendations:-
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 22.08.2025 with suitable conditions and special conditions that:-
1. The industry shall shift as per provisions of section 79 of Punjab Regional Town Planning and Development Act, 1995.
2. The industry shall not carry out any expansion at this site.
