It is submitted that the industry was visited afresh on 26.7.2024 in order to check the compliance as directed by the Competent Authority. It was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation.
2. The industry has installed one reheating furnace.
3. The industry has installed twin cyclone followed by wet scrubber as APCD along- with stack of adequate height and same was in operation.
4. The water scrubber installed by the industry was in rusted condition and leakages were observed at several locations leading to its inefficient performance.
5. Secondary emissions were observed in the shed of the industry.
6. The record regarding the energy meter provided along the APCD was not produced during the visit as such the regular operation of APCD could not be adjudged.
7. NO measuring device is provided at the source of extraction of ground water and no record is being maintained thereof
In view of above, it is recommended that Show cause notice for refusal of CTO under Water Act,1974 and Air Act,1981 may be issued to the industry with an opportunity of Personal Hearing before CEE please.
