It is intimated that the industry is a large scale red category unit and was earlier granted consent to operate Under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH2/2019/10579713 dated 19/07/2019 expired on 30/06/2024 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH2/2019/10580159 dated 19/07/2019 expired on 30/06/2024 for manufacturing of products NUT, BOLT & FASTENERS @ 16 MTD.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite document for increased production MANUFACTURING OF HARDWARE GOODS (NUT, BOLT & FASTENERS) capacity from 16 TPD to 20 TPD.
The industry has deposited consent fee against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 2480.92 Lacs as on 31.03.2024, which is adequate upto 30.06.2025 under the both as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018 after deducting penalty charges.
The industry was visited by undersigned on 26.07.2024 and it was observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation & is engaged of the products of nut bolts.
2. The industry has made an enhanced MOU with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana from 30000 Ltr/month to 75000 Ltr/month.
3. The industry has installed 07 headers to manufacture bolts and 03 nut former.
4. The industry has installed 02 electrically operated continuous heat treatment furnaces.
5. The industry has installed CNC/milling machines etc. in its premises.
6. The industry carries out zinc plating and has installed automatic zinc plating plant.
7. The industry is maintaining record w.r.t. fresh water consumption for the wet process & effluent lifted to M/s JBR Tech. Pvt Ltd. The record is attached herewith.
As per the record the quantity of water consumed for wet process is in consonance with the quantity of effluent lifted to JBR Tech. Pvt. Ltd.
8. The industry has submitted approved building plan from the competent person of Director of Factories, Punjab.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that varied 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30/06/2025 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board. |
