Earlier, the project was granted Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 which are valid upto 31.03.2024. It is a large scale red category historical memorial & Museum, which is located at Kartarpur, Distt Jalandhar.
The project proponent was also granted Environmental Clearance vide no. SEIAA/2463 dated 20.04.2015 with total covered area of 35146.62 Sqr.mt and utilization of 130 KLD of effluent onto land for plantation/ gardening.
Now, the project has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
The project was earlier visited by undersigned on 31/07/2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The site is a Historical Museum project which was not in operation during visit.
2. The project proponent has installed STP consisting of screen chamber Oil & grease chamber oil collection tank equalization tank Fluidized aerobic bio reactor tube settler Pre-filtration tank dual media filter activated carbon filter Ultra Violet System and same was in operation.
3. Earlier, the effluent sample of the STP installed by the museum was collected from final outlet of STP on 27/12/2023 and results are as under:

4. The project proponent has installed conventional flow meter at final outlet of STP as well as energy meter with the STP. The project proponent is regularly maintaining the records of operation of STP at site.
5. The project proponent has installed one D.G of capacity 625 with canopy at site.
6. There is no other source of Air pollution or Water pollution.
7. The project proponent has submitted the demand drafts for consent fees and informed that they do not have the facility of online banking and the consent fee approval is given by the committee having Deputy Commissioner as Chairman.
Keeping in view of above, if approved: -
1. Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the project upto 31.03.2025 with suitable conditions.
2. Consent fees of the project may be accepted in Demand Drafts.
