It is intimated that the industry was earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 dated 14.09.2019 valid upto 30.06.2024 & under Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Hardware Goods i.e. door fitting @ 2000 pcs/day only.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Hardware Goods i.e. Door Fitting @ 2000, Powder Coating of Storage Rack @ 6 Nos./day and Powder Coating of Cloth Stand @ 6 Nos./day. The industry has now added 6 No. Power Presses.
The application of the industry has been perused and it has been observed as under:-
1. The industry has installed polluting machinery without NOC of the Board.
2. The industry has not clarified whether there is change in quantity of agreement due to change in production.
3. The value of plant and machinery during previous consent was Rs. 36.15 Lac and now value of plant and machinery is Rs. 44.11 lac.
4. The industry has not intimated pollution control measures provided with oven of Powder Coating machines.
5. The copy of attached building plan is not clear. The industry is required to submit copy of building plan approved from the Competent Authority.
6. The industry has not submitted point wise compliance to the previous consent conditions verified by visiting officer in annotated form.
In view of the above, it is recommended that show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be issued to the industry with hearing at ZO level due to reasons mentioned above, please. (Category - Red, Small) (Competency -SEE)
