It is intimated that the industry is a small scale red category unit and was earlier granted consent to operate Under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH2/2022/18309420 dated 09/05/2022 valid upto 30/06/2026 for the manufacturing of product Nickle Plating of Machine Parts/Cycle Parts/Auto Parts @ 250 Kgs/day. But, the same was revoked vide letter no. 4098 dated 15.07.2024.
Thereafter, to verify the compliance, the site of industry was visited by RO on 29.07.2024 and it was reported that: 1. The industry was in operation during the visit and was engaged in nickel plating process. 2. The industry has signed agreement with CETP (M/s JBR Technology Pvt Ltd, D-260-61, Focal Point, Phase-8, Ludhiana) @ 8000 Ltr/month for lifting of trade effluent generated from process. 3. The industry has provided storage tank for storage of effluent. 4. The industry is maintaining record w.r.t. fresh water consumption for the wet process & effluent lifted to M/s JBR Tech. Pvt Ltd. As per the record the quantity of water consumed for wet process is in consonance with the quantity of effluent lifted to JBR Tech. Pvt. Ltd. 5. It has improved the housekeeping.
In view of above, it is recommended that fresh 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2029 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board, please. (Category - Red, Small) (Competency -SEE) |
