It is intimated that the industry was established without consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The industry has submitted CA Certificate, PSIEC allotment letter, earlier gratned consents, rent agreement, manufacturing process, agreement with JBR Technologies, Ludhiana for lifting of effluent, approved building plan of plots.
The industry has deposited Rs. 72500/- vide R.no 70521757 dated 29.07.2024 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 64800/- vide Ref. No. 10501049 under Air Act, 1981. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.06.2029.
The industry was visited by JEE (OS) of this office on 31.07.2024 and observed as under:-
1. The industry is a small scale red category unit and engaged in the manufacturing of Finished Wood and Steel Furniture @ 44000 No./day from Unfinished Steel / wooden Furniture @ 44000 No./day
2. During visit the industry was in operation during visit.
3. The industry has made an agreement @ 4000 ltr with JBR Technology, Jain Colony, Moti Nagar, Ludhiana.
4. The industry has installed water meter in the processing area.
5. The industry has provided 02 No. Sintex tank of capacity @ 3000 ltrs for collection of effluent. The industry has last lifted trade effluent @ 4000 ltr. to M/s JBR Technology vide manifest no. 518159 dated 22.07.2024. The industry has maintained the record. During visit, trade effluent stored in a tank approx. 1000 ltr. The domestic effluent is discharged into Sewer after septic tank.
6. The industry has installed drill machines, welding sets automatic machine for wooden furniture, cutting machines.
Keeping in view of the above, may if approved, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted for the period upto 30.06.2029 with suitable terms and conditions and with special conditions that the industry shall maintain the record of effluent generated/ lifited by JBR Technologies on daily basis.
