It is intimated that the industry is a small scale green category unit and granted consent to operate Under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH2/2022/19926020 dated 23-09-2022 valid upto 31-12-2026 & under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH2/2022/19926392 dated 23-09-2022 valid upto 31-12-2026 for the manufacturing of product Sq. Washer @ 5 Tonnes/Day.
Now, the industry has applied for NOC for expansion under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite document for Zinc plating of Sq. Washer/Clamp (Proposed with plating) % 5 TPD capacity. The industry has proposed to install automatic zinc plant. The industry has also proposed to install ZLD system for treatment of trade effluent generated from the process @ 5400 Ltr/day.
The industry has deposited consent fee against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 14400/- Lacs as per project report which is adequate for one year.
The industry was visited by undersigned on 01.08.2024 and it was observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation during visit.
2. The industry has installed power presses, riveting machines, tapping machines, mig welding machines etc. in its premises.
3. The industry has installed 02 no. D.G set of 250 KVA and 125 KVA capacities, both are fitted with canopy and adequate stack height.
4. There is no other source of air pollution i.e. boiler/furnace.
5. There is no generation of trade effluent and only domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank.
6. The industry has proposed to install 2 no. automatic zinc plants, 15 no. barrels, 1 No. DM water plant and ETP/RO/UF/evaporator.
7. The industry has proposed to install ETP of capacity 15 KLD followed by ZLD system for treatment of trade effluent generated from the process @ 5400 Ltr/day, which will be having following components :-
Equalization sump Dosing tanks Flocculator Primary tube settler Pressure sand filter Activated carbon filter RO plant RO permeate @ 3800 Ltr/day will be reused and RO reject @ 1600 Ltr/day for evaporation
8. The industry has also submitted the CLU certificate issued by the STP, Ludhiana vide letter no. 3323 dated 07.05.2012 which stating that the site falls in industrial zone as Master Plan, Ludhiana (2007-31). The industry has submitted approved building plan from architect approved by Director of Factories, Punjab.
9. The industry has not started any construction activity regarding expansion of the project.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that NOC for expansion 'Consent to establish) under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for one year with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
