The industry is a small-scale orange category unit and is proposed to establish poultry farm of capacity 2,50,000 birds/year and also to manufacture of Poultry Feed @ 30 MT/Day using raw material as Maize, Rice, DDGS, MDCC, Saja & Rice Bran Oil @ 30 MT/Day. The industry has applied for obtaining Consent to Establish/NOC for the establishment of the same.
The application was scrutinized and it was found that the industry has submitted all the required documents such as DPR with total estimated project cost of Rs. 390.62 lacs (excluding 114.02 lac as securities and margin for working capital), site plan, details of machinery, manufacturing process flow chart, proprietorship certificate, registry, PSPCL Bill, quotation for purchase of boiler (0.5 TPH) etc. The Project Proponent has also submitted CLU issued by the DTP stating that the site of industry falls under industrial zone and is permissible. The Project Proponent has also submitted Naib Tehsildar report regarding siting criteria laid down by the Board for new poultry farm along with the application, which is reproduced as under:
1. That the site is at 500 m distance from residential zone.
2. That the site is at 200 m distance from major water courses like river lake etc.
3. That the site is at 500 m distance from any major drinking water reservoir on catchment side.
4. That the site is at 100 m distance from any drinking source like wells, summer storage tanks, other tanks.
5. That the site is at 500 m distance from nearby poultry, dairy or another livestock enterprises or industry.
6. That the site is at 150-200 m distance from National Highway.
7. That the site is at 100 m distance from State Highway.
8. That the site is at 10-15 m distance from rural road/internal roads/village pagdandis.
9. That the poultry shed is more than 10 m distance of farm boundary.
The site of the industry was visited by the undersigned on 14.11.2024 and it was observed as under:
1. The industry was under establishment and only boundary wall and office has been constructed.
2. The industry is located in 4.6563 acres of area in village Pandori Ran Singh, Block and Distt. Tarn Taran.
3. The industry has proposed to install 0.5 THP of wood fired FBC boiler with cyclone separator as APCD.
4. The industry is also proposed to construct septic tank for the treatment of domestic effluent and then to discharge it onto land for plantation as per the application. No trade effluent is to be generated as per the process and DPR submitted.
5. The siting criteria has been physically been verified during the visit.
6. The industry is likely to be commissioned on October, 2025 as per the application form and as informed by the Project Proponent.
The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
In view of the above, it is recommended that Consent to Establish/NOC may be granted to the Project Proponent for establishment of poultry farm of capacity 2,50,000 birds/year and also to manufacture of Poultry Feed @ 30 MT/Day using raw material as Maize, Rice, DDGS, MDCC, Saja & Rice Bran Oil @ 30 MT/Day for a period of one year with suitable conditions, please.
