File Note: It is submitted that the hospital has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for 20 no. bedded hospital along with requisite documents. The hospital has deposited Rs. 1200/- vide R No. 267118271 dated 06.03.2025 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 2400/- vide R. no. 609994859 dated 13.02.2025 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 which is adequate upto 31.07.2026 under both the acts. The project proponent has obtained authorization under Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 vide no. BMW/Fresh/SAS/2025/27563656 dated 10.01.2025, valid till 31.12.2025 for 20 beds with certain conditions mentioned therein. The Hospital has submitted rent agreement executed between M/s Chandigarh Hospitals and Research Centre Private Limited (hereinafter called the “LESSOR” of the one part) and M/s Gini Health India Pvt. Ltd., (hereinafter called “LESSEE” of the other part) for building situated at Finvasia Centre, Plot no D-179, Sector 74, Mohali for 11359 square feet for the reception area on the ground floor and the second floor(except the terrace area) . The rent deed is valid till 16.11.2027. The project proponent has submitted a building plan/ layout plan for the hospital i.e. M/s Gini Health India Pvt. Ltd. The HCF has submitted an agreement executed with M/s Rainbow Environments Pvt. Ltd. (CBWTF), Village Balyali, Tehsil Kharar on 11.12.2024 valid till 10.12.2027 for 20 beds capacity. The hospital has submitted analysis report of the effluent samples carried out by NABL approved lab i.e. M/s Gini Health India Pvt. Ltd. on 08.02.2025, the conc. of parameters were found within the permissible limits of the Board as tabulated below: S. No. Parameters Results Standards 1. pH 6.82 6.5-9.0 2. Oil and Grease, mg/l BDL -- The HCF was visited by the Officer of the Board on 06.03.2025 and contacted Sh. Sandeep Singh Gill, Director. During the visit, it was observed that: 1. The HCF is a 20 bedded hospital having 01 no. of lab and the same was in operation. 2. The hospital has MC supply as a source of fresh water. 3. Trade effluent generated from lab as well as domestic effluent is discharged into MC sewer after pre treatment of the trade effluent. 4. As informed, food and laundary is outsourced. 5. The hospital has provided color coded bins for proper segregation of the Bio-Medical waste. Segregation of waste was checked in various wards and was found in order. 6. The HCF has installed DG set of capacity 125 KVA. In view of the above, it is recommended that fresh consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hospital upto 31.12.2025 subject to suitable conditions and following special conditions that: 1. The hospital will renew its agreement with the CBWTF for lifting of its BMW before expiry of the same and intimate to the Board. 2. The hospital shall comply with the provisions the Bio Medical Waste Management Rules 2016. 3. The hospital shall apply for varied consent under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, if its changes its bed capacity. 4. The hospital shall perform / promote its Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities as well as use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic. 5. The hospital shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises. 6. The hospital shall not throw, burn or bury any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain / water bodies. 7. In case the hospital fails to comply with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/or any other environmental law applicable to the project and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time, action as deemed fit shall be taken against the hospital. *Competency – Environmental Engineer (RO) as per policy of the Board
