| Clarification Note: | Sir, the application submitted by M/s Naseeb Industry for Consent to Establish (CTE) has been scrutinised and the following observations are noted: The unit has proposed a total water requirement of 50 KLD, with wastewater generation of 25 KLD, and has indicated installation of RO, UV sterilisation and ozone treatment systems. The generated wastewater shall mainly comprise RO reject (high TDS), filter backwash, bottle/floor washing effluent and domestic sewage. However, no wastewater treatment system has been specified, and disposal of wastewater has been proposed into rainwater harvesting pits, which is not permissible, as such structures are meant exclusively for harvesting clean rainwater and cannot be used for disposal of industrial/RO reject wastewater. The proposed wastewater management and disposal plan is therefore technically incorrect and environmentally unsustainable. Clarifications Required:.... The unit may be requested to clarify the following: 1. Details of the proposed wastewater treatment system, including management of RO reject, filter backwash and wash effluent. 2. Proposed mode of disposal / reuse of treated wastewater and RO reject, with justification. The unit may submit clarifications to the above-said observations within a period of two days, failing which the application shall be returned. |
