Sir,
• It is intimated that the industry is small scale Red category unit.
• Earlier, the industry was issued Show Cause Notice for violation of the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 with an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Jalandhar on 06.05.2025 wherein it was decided as under:
1. The industry shall maintain the record of water consumption and water lifted to CETP on daily basis and made it readily available to the visiting officer.
2. The industry shall apply for consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 within 15-days.
3. The Regional Office-1, Jalandhar shall visit the site verify the compliance made by the industry and submit report/process the application on merit.
Accordingly, to verify the status, the unit was visited by officers of this office 18.08.2025 and observed that the industry is not complying the decisions of the personal hearing.
Afterthat, the industry was issued Show Cause Notice for violation of the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 with an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Jalandhar on 12.12.2025 and proceedings of the same is awaited.
• Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
• The industry has submitted rent deed, proprietorship certificate, manufacturing process and location plan with the application.
• The industry has submitted approved building plan from competent person under factories act, 1948.
• The industry has submitted the area classification from MTP Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar vide letter no. MTP/1019 dated 13.08.2025. As per master plan 2009-2031 the industry is falls under General Industrial Zone and red category industry is permissible in zone and also submitted the undertaking regarding the same.
• The industry has submitted agreement with JBR Technology for the lifting of trade effluent generated from the process @ 12000 ltr/month.
The industry was visited by the undersigned on 26.12.2025 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during the time of visit.
2. The industry has installed electroplating section (nickel and chrome) and engaged in the process of manufacturing of Scaffolding parts.
3. The industry has installed water meter at fresh water supply which was in operational during the visit.
4. The industry has maintained the record of fresh water consumption and wastewater generation from the process.
5. The industry has made an agreement with JBR Technology Ltd Ludhiana, for disposal of its trade effluent @ 12000 ltrs/month.
6. The industry has provided one underground cemented storage tank of capacity @ 3000 ltr and 2 nos. underground plastic tank of capacity 1000 lts. each for the storage of its trade effluent.
7. The industry has installed one D.G set of capacity 125 KVA with canopy but without adequate stack height.
The application submitted by the unit for grant of Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 is submitted for decision in light of the decisions taken during the personal hearing on dated 12.12.2025 please.
