Sir, undersigned had earlier commented on the applicability of completion certificate for induction furnace from PSCST, Chandigarh since it is an existing unit since 2018. The Industry was requested telephonically to provide completion certificate and approved building plan. The industry has provided completion certificate of induction furnace issued by EROS ENVIROTECH PRIVATE LTD (attached)……………….The industry obtained last consent vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH1/2023/21238154 issued on 09.03.2023 valid up to 30.09.2027 based on the same certificate……….However the certificate from PSCST, Chandigarh also needs to be obtained by the unit………….Also, results of sampling carried out on 19.12.2025 are awaited……………………………..Also, final certificate of Building plan provided by DoF also with copy of approved Building plan (last sheet) is attached…………….The sheet is not very clear but currently only this information is available………..The undersigned have also requested the unit to submit physical/clear scanned copies of the building plan however it is certain that building plan is approved vide DoF letter no. 5262 dated 28.05.2018…………………Earlier it was recommended that the Consent to Operate under Water Act (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30.09.2026 with special condition that: 1.0 The industry (induction furnace units) has to obtain a design for retro fitting in its existing unit from Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh for the adoption of a) Dog house emission containment system or b) Canopy Hood Containment System or c) Roof top Containment System within 06 months. ............................ 2.0 The Industry will provide approved design for containment of secondary emissions after approval from PSCST, Chandigarh along with PERT Chart for installment of secondary emissions control system by 30.09.2026 in 06 months. .......................................... 3.0 The Industry will submit 10% of the total cost as advance to the vendor selected for installation for containment of secondary emissions after approval of the design from PSCST, Chandigarh and also take steps to complete the installation of secondary emission control system by 30.09.2026.............Now, one more additional condition is recommended that the unit shall also provide adequacy certificate from PSCST, Chandigarh for primary emission control system within two months period as it involves visit by the Council staff………………………………….Submitted Please as this is application for consent under water act.
