Discussed with CEE (B) in presence of SEE (ZO-2, PTA), as per notification dated 07.06.2024 issued by MoEF&CC, the standalone rolling mills are not covered under the purview of EIA notification dated 14.09.2006. Hence, the unit is not required to obtain environmental clearance, since, it is standalone rolling mill having reverberatory furnace of capacity 1.5 TPH running on PNG. In light of the above and the report/ recommendations given by RO, if approved, varied consent to operate under the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the manufacturing of Heavy Rounds, Flats, Bars, Angle, Channel @ 650 MTD may be granted to the industry upto 31.12.2029 (culminating period for green cat.) with suitable conditions, pl.
