The industry has been granted consent under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/LDH1/2025/28464436 dated 27/06/2025 valid up to 31/12/2025 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/LDH1/2025/28464420 dated 10/07/2025 valid up to 09/10/2025 for manufacturing of 4000 Kgs/day of Dyeing & Processing on Job Basis by using raw material of 500 Kgs/day of Dyes & chemicals with discharge of treated trade effluent @ 250 KLD into sewer after passing through the ETP and domestic effluent of 1.0 KLD into Sewer.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of 4000 Kgs/day of Dyeing & Processing on Job Basis by using raw material of 500 Kgs/day of Dyes & chemicals with discharge of treated trade effluent @ 250 KLD into sewer after passing through the ETP and domestic effluent of 1.0 KLD into Sewer.
The industry was earlier visited by the officers of the Board on 24.12.2025 and it was observed that: - 1. The industry was in operation and engaged in the process of dyeing. 2. The industry has installed 7 no. soft flow machines (3 No. - 300 kg, 3 No. - 400kg, 1 No.- 600 kg), 6 No. pole dryer and 1 No. hydro in the premises. 3. The industry has installed wood-based package boiler of capacity 4TPH along with Cyclone separator as APCD and stack height above factory roof is about 40 feet provided with sampling arrangement. 4. The industry has also installed DG set of capacity 125 KVA with canopy and having adequate stack height.
5. During the on-going drive in the area, the stack emission samples were collected and the parameters are as 402 mg/Nm3 against 250 mg/Nm3 which shows that the results are beyond the prescribed limits.
6. The industry has failed to upgrade its APCD to achieve the revised emission standards prescribed by the ministry of MOEF & CC.
Further , the said unit is a scattered dyeing unit issued directions to adopt ZLD before 31.12.2025 ,,,,,the matter is being taken separately on enoting and the unit has been given PH before MS on 22.12.2025 and proceeding are yet to be approved. THe said matter is related to Air application only.
In view of the above, as the industry has failed to achieve the prescribed standards and to upgrade its APCD , it is recommended that that SCN for refusal of Consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith oppurtunity of PH may be issued to the industry please.(Comp.
