It is intimated that the unit is small scale red category brass coating unit ....... Earlier the industry was only engaged in manufacturing of bicycle frames without any coating and was in exempted category and now added the process of brass coating...........the unit first carries out dip brazing of cycle frames, in which the welded portions of the frame are dipped in brass solution to form a uniform brazed joint and protective coating. After brazing, debrassing is carried out to remove excess brass from the surface and give proper finishing. The debrassing process is done using a chemical bath containing sodium nitrate and sodium nitrite, which oxidizes and loosens the unwanted brass layer, allowing it to be removed from the metal surface. This ensures a smooth and clean finish of the cycle frame after brazing..................The industry was visited by the officers of this office on 13.11.2025 and observed that: 1. The industry was in operation during the visit. 3. The industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Technology, Ludhiana @ 5,000 ltr/month on 07.04.2025, which is valid for three years. 4. The industry has installed water meter on MC provided fresh water pipe line and meter reading observed during the visit was 28.07 KL 5. Water auditing of fresh-water consumption and lifting of trade effluent to CETP has been carried out ........found in order. 6. The industry has one storage/collection tank of approximately @ 3500 liters capacity for transfer of effluent to the CETP, and around 700 liters of effluent was found stored at the time of the visit. 7. Domestic effluent @ 2.8 KLD is being discharged into the sewer. Apart from above all the machinery installed is non-polluting in nature. 9. The industry has installed 1 DG set of capacity 100 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height......................... The industry has submitted the letter from the O/O PSIEC bearing no.22664-665 dated 13.01.2021 regarding lease deed and letter no. 8312-13 dated 30.05.2019 regarding original lease deed and change of Style & constitution of Shed No. E-10 and lease between PSIEC and M/s Wheel Craft for a period of 99 years, under which the land has been leased to M/s NRG Enterprises for rent. Since the industry is located in the approved industrial zone E-10, Focal Point, Ludhiana, so no Site Clearance is required under section 41(A) of the Factories Act, 1948. Requirement of EIA and SAC: ...................Since the industry is located in the approved industrial zone E-10, Focal Point, Ludhiana, so does not require Environmental Clearance under EIA notification 2006. In view of the above, it is recommended that the industry has now complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act,1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act,1981 and the case may be sent to the Competent Authority for consideration of grant of 'Consent to operate under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 30.06.2029 with suitable conditions please.
