Earlier, the industry was granted consent to establish (NOC) under the provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Fresh/PTA/2024/26169106 dated 08/08/2024 having validity upto 07/08/2025 for manufacturing of Cattle Feed @ 350 Metric Tonnes/Day under the orange category subject to conditions as mentioned therein…
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 along with requisite documents…
RO has reported that the industry is complying with the provisions of Water Act 1974 and Air Act 1981.
In view of above and report/ recommendations sent by, EE, RO, Patiala, if approved, the industry may be granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 30.09.2030 with suitable conditions and following additional conditions:
1. The industry shall not carry out any activity in its premises, which can change the category of the unit from Orange to Red.
2. The industry shall not generate and discharge any kind of trade effluent from its premises.
3. The industry shall generate only domestic effluent, which shall be discharged on to land for plantation after passing through septic tank.
4. The pp shall not discharge any effluent at any unauthorized place by any unauthorized means i.e. shall not discharge any wastewater in any drain / inland surface waters / drain/ choe/ nallah/ onto land for stagnation or outside its premises, at any time, under any circumstances.
5. The project has been approved by the Board from pollution angle and the industry shall obtain the statutory clearances/ permissions from all other concerned departments.
6. The project proponent shall ensure the compliance of provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/ or any other environmental law applicable to him and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time.
7. The consent is being issued to the project proponent based upon the documents/ information submitted by it along with the online application form and during hearing. The Board would be at liberty to take penal action against the industry/project proponent and its responsible/ concerned person(s) in case information/document is detected as incorrect/false/misleading at any point of time, without any opportunity of Personal Hearing.
8. In case the project proponent fails to comply with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/ or any other environmental law applicable to the project and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time, action as deemed fit shall be taken against the project proponent.
