It is intimated that the unit is large scale green category unit and is established at A-5 Focal Point, Ludhiana. obtained Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 Date of expiry 08-12-2025 for manufacturing of TOOLS, JIGS & FIXTURES FOR R&D PURPOSES ONLY AND INSTITUTION HAS NO OWN PRODUCTION @ 0.09 Metric Tonnes/Day by using SPECIAL STEEL, IRON ALLOYS @ 0.1 Metric Tonnes/day................................................................................
Now the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 The adequacy of fee deposited is up to 08.12.2030. The industry was visited by the officer of this office on 18.12.2025 and observed that: 1. The industry was in operation during visit and engaged in research & development of tools, jigs & fixtures and do not have any production. 2. The institute does not generates any trade effluent only domestic effluent @ 50 KLD is being discharged onto land for plantation after treatment through STP. However the STP was not operational due to invert level mismatch in the sewer line. 3. The industry has installed five electric heat treatment furnaces (Tempering & hardening). 4. The industry has installed one DG sets of capacity 463 KVA with acoustic room and adequate stack height. 5. The industry has already submitted the building plans approved from competent person under Director of Factories, Punjab.
During visit , STP was found not in operation ..........RO was asked to clarify the present disposal of effluent but no reply has been given in this regard.
In view of above it is recommended that the unit may be issued SCN in writing for 7 days for the refusal of ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 please. |
