On examination it is observed that unit is a shopping mall. •Earlier,the shopping mall was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 30.09.2025. •Now, the shopping mall has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board and detail of the same is as under : - 1. The shopping mall has deposited Rs. 1,12,800/- Vide UTR No. 740305229 Dated 30.09.2025 under Water Act 1974 and Rs. 1,12,800/- Vide UTR No. 744009337 Dated 30.09.2025 and Rs. 10,800/- Vide UTR No. 554880651 Dated 11.12.2025, under Air Act, 1981, which are adequate upto 30.09.2027. • The shopping mall has submitted compliance report of the previous granted consent under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. • The shopping mall was visited by the EE alongwith AEE of this office on 19.12.2025 and observed that the shopping mall having 140 shops and not even a single shop were found in operation during visit. • The shopping mall has installed STP comprising of oil and grease trap equalization tank primary clarifier aeration chamber secondary clarifier treated storage cum chlorine dosing tanks pressure sand filter sludge drawing bed and the same was not in operation and the effluent sample could not be collected due to no discharge of effluent. • The shopping mall has installed two D.G sets of capacity 1010 KVA and one DG set of capacity 380 KVA which are kept in a room having acoustic system. As per record and as per its approved layout plant its total built up area is 19896.7654 sq mtrs and therefore not covered under the EIA notification.
• The shopping mall is a large scale green category construction project and having total value of project as Rs 73 crores as per C.A certificate and competent to decide such type of case lies with Hon’ble Chairperson of the Board.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2027 with usual terms and conations and with special condition that: 1. The shopping mall shall submit effluent analysis report from Boards lab within 02 months. 2. The shopping mall shall intimate the board if any shop/space was being made operational.3.In the event that, at any stage, the total built-up area of the construction project exceeds, or becomes equal to, 20,000 square metres, the Project Proponent shall mandatorily obtain prior Environmental Clearance (EC) from the competent authority before and shall not undertake or execute any construction work beyond the said threshold without obtaining such prior Environmental Clearance failing which action shall be taken against project proponent under the the applicable environmental laws and regulations.
