on examination , It isobserved that the above said industry is a small scale orange category unit. • The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for manufacturing of Striking Tools @ 2.0 MT/day by using MS Rounds and Flats @ 2.2 Metric Tonnes/Day as raw material. • The industry has submitted approved building plan from Competent person under Director of factories Act, Punjab. • The industry has submitted manufacturing process, proprietorship certificate with the application. • The industry has submitted electricity bill as per proof of date of commissioning. • The industry has submitted transfer letter of industrial plot from Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation Ltd, Chandigarh. • As per RO report and as per documents attached, the site of the industry falls in the designated industrial area. • The industry was visited by undersigned on 24.12.2025 and it was observed that: 1. The industry was in operation and is engaged in the process of manufacturing of Striking Tools. 2. The industry has installed 1 no. oil fired forging furnace with hood and adequate stack height at site. The industry has installed one hammer of capacity 1.25 ton at site. 3. The industry has installed 1 no. shot blasting machines with in house bag house filter as APCD. 4. The industry has also installed power presses and other general machinery for machining at site. 5. The industry has installed one DG set of capacity 125 KVA with canopy at site. 6. There is no source of trade effluent generation and only generation of domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. The competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Jalandhar. Recommendation:- Keeping in view of above, if approved, consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2030 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board and with additional condition that:- 1. The industry shall apply for authorization under Hazardous Wastes (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 immediately. 2. The industry shall ensure to comply with Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.3. The industry shall comply with the revised emission standards prescribed by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) and PPCB, as amended from time to time. The unit shall operate its Air Pollution Control Systems to ensure continuous compliance with the applicable notified standards.
4. The industry shall control fugitive emissions from all material handling, storage, transfer points, charging operations and internal roads. The unit shall ensure that no visible fugitive dust or emissions are released beyond the factory premises.
5.The industry shall not use furnace oil or any liquid fuel containing high sulphur content exceeding 1.8% by weight. Only low sulphur fuels, such as Low Sulphur Heavy Stock (LSHS), Light Diesel Oil (LDO), Propane, Butane etc. with sulphur content ≤ 1.8% by weight, are permitted to be used as fuel.
