It is intimated that the industry was issued show cause notice for violation of the provisions under Water Act, 1974 with an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board on 30.10.2025 due to violations observed during the visit dated 25.09.2025.
The industry has applied for obtaining consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
The industry was visited by the officer of the Board on 14.11.2025 and record of fresh water consumption and effluent lifted was not in order, the industry has installed one PVC storage tank of capacity 2000 Ltrs, however, it was not accessible to check the quantity of effluent stored in it. As the tank is placed above the height of 10 Feet. The industry has not provided CCTV cameras facing towards wet process area and water meter. The industry has not submitted the proof regarding classification of area.
Accordingly, the industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate applied under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 vide letter no. 5622-23 dated 27.11.2025 with opportunity to submit reply within 07 days.
Now, the site of the industry was visited by the officers of the Board on 19.12.2025 and various non-compliances were observed w.r.t unmetered supply with flexible pipe, not produced the record of fresh water consumption and trade effluent lifted by CETP Operator, not provided CCTV cameras facing towards storage tank and water meter, PVC storage tank of capacity 2000 Ltrs was not accessible to check the quantity of effluent stored in it, not submitted the proof regarding classification of area.
From above, it is clear that the industry is not complying with the provisions under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 and the industry is continuously violating the provisions of the Board.
In view of the above, may if approved consent to operate applications applied under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be refused after affording an opportunity of personal hearing at ZO level, please.
