After perusal the application and Regional Office note, below shortcomings have been observed: -
1. The RO is required to submit comments regarding the type of fuel being used by the industry in its furnaces and confirm whether the same is permitted as per the Board’s fuel policy.
2. The RO has mentioned that the increase in the plant and machinery assets of the industry from Rs. 8 crore to Rs. 25 crore is due to the addition of machinery falling under the green category, resulting in an increase in production capacity from 10 TPD to 60 TPD. However, the RO shall submit a detailed comparison of the machinery corresponding to the earlier production capacity of 10 TPD and the machinery installed for the present production capacity. The RO shall also comment on the change in the pollution load, if any, due to the increased machinery.
3. RO is required to provide comments on the latest emission analysis report of the furnaces, carried out by the Board or any other authorized lab.
4. The industry has not submitted details of built-up area in the site plan. As such, the RO shall verify the built-up area and check applicability of EIA notification, 14.09.2006.
As such, the applications may be forwarded to the RO, to clarify the above, please.
