It is submitted that the industry was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOW/Varied/BTI/2025/28329988 and CTOA/Varied/BTI/2025/28330260 both dt. 21.04.2025 valid upto 20.10.2025, for manufacturing of Carbonated Juice @ 30000 ltr/day , mineral water @ 10000ltr/day and packing material @ 195 kg/day by using Fruit Pulp, Fruit, Sugar, Water & Plastic perform @ 195 Kg/day with the special condition that the industry will obtain EPR registration within one month and shall operate its ETP regularly and scientifically with proper maintenance of record.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate for obtaining the renewal of CTOs under the Air Act, 1981 and Water Act, 1974 under orange category, for manufacturing of Carbonated Juice @ 30000 ltr/day , mineral water @ 10000ltr/day and packing material @ 195 kg/day by using Fruit Pulp, Fruit, Sugar, Water & Plastic perform @ 195 Kg/day.
The unit has applied for varied consent to operate inspite of no change in the production because it had already extra consent fee while obtaining last CTOs.
The industry has already deposited Rs. 25200/- vide no. 620283418 & 771122217 dated 12.4.2024. The PP has submitted CA certificate @ 1.79 Cr and as per the Ca certificate the fees submitted is valid upto 30.9.2027.
The PP told that they have already submitted an application to obtain EPR registration under the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 on CPCB Portal.
The industry was visited by the undersigned on 31.12.2025 and it was observed as under –
1. The industry is engaged in the manufacturing of juice/ carbonated soft drink but the same was not in operation during visit due to off season.
2. The industry has installed with cyclone as APCD with the wood fired boiler @ 1 TPH and adequate stack.
3. The industry has also installed ETP plant to treat the trade effluent generated from the processing section consisting of Bar screen - Collection Tank - aeration tank- Clarifier (Tube settler based) - Multimedia filters and sludge drying beds.
4. The ETP was not in operation during visit as no effluent was being generated due to non-operational status of the industry.
6. The industry has provided adequate plantation area for disposal of treated effluent.
8. The industry has installed machinery for manufacture of plastic bottles and the section was not in operation.
9. The industry has installed DG set @ 62.5 KVA with adequate.
10. As per the representative of the industry the industry has already submitted an application to obtain EPR registration under the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 on CPCB Portal but the application of the industry is not yet decided.
In view of above if approved the validity of the CTO under the provisions of Water cat, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be extended for 1 year with usual conditions and special condition that the industry shall obtain registration under EPR within this period.
