Kindly peruse the submission of EE, ZO. On perusal of the said note, it is submitted that the industry has applied for grant of fresh Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. The unit was inspected by the Regional Office on 09.12.2025 and was found to be complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 at the time of inspection. The site of the industry falls within an Industrial Zone as per the Master Plan of Ludhiana. The industry has also submitted a building plan prepared by an approved architect and duly approved by the Director of Factories, Punjab.
In view of the above, it is recommended that: -
1. Environmental Compensation of Rs. 1.00 lakh may be imposed upon the industry, being a small-scale unit, as approved by the Competent Authority in the case of M/s Kalsi Sons Fabricators.
2. Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted for the period up to 30.06.2029, subject to adequacy of the prescribed fee.
3. Punjab State Power Corporation Limited may be directed to permanently restore the electricity connection of the industry and in accordance with Office Memorandum No. 428 dated 23.09.2025.
4. The Regional Office may be permitted to de-seal the machinery of the unit.
