Earlier the industry was granted 'Consent to Operate' with special condition that the industry will apply for EPR registration within 07 days and submit the EPR registration to the Board within one month. Consents will be extended upon the EPR registration. However, the industry could not obtain the EPR registration. Considering that the industry had earlier for obtaining EPR registration and the same got returned with some observations. The industry has informed that to obtain EPR registration valid consent to operate certificate is a mandatory document. Also, the industry is situated in the industrial zone and is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
In view of above, may if approved, 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for short period of six months so that industry can apply for EPR registration, please.
