It is submitted that the industry is a small-scale green category cold storage unit. Earlier, the industry was granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH2/2018/7325925 dated 06.04.2018 and under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH2/2018/7326061 dated 06.04.2018, both are valid upto 31.12.2025 for storage of POTATO @5000MT/Year.
[ Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 alongwith documents through OCMMS. The industry has submitted C.A certificate dated 14.12.2025 with the total cost of fixed assets of Rs 271.95 Laks. The industry has deposited Rs 84000/- vide online receipt no. 878212864 dated 15.12.2021 under Air Act, 1981 and Rs 84000/- vide online receipt no. 739483647 dated 15.12.2025 under Water Act, 1974, which is adequate upto 31.12.2034.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by officers of this office on 22.12.2025 and it was observed as under: -
1. The industry is a cold store which was not in operation during the visit.
2. The domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation through septic tank. The industry has provided adequate plantation area.
3. The industry has provided recirculation system of cooling water.
4. The industry has installed 01 D.G set of capacity 65 KVA fitted with canopy and with adequate stack height.
5. The industry had already submitted DTP certificate vide no. 609 dated 8.3.2018, mentioning that the site of the industry falls in Agriculture Zone as per approved Master Plan, Samrala (2012-2031) and the cold store is permitted in this site.
6. The industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted to it.
In view of the above, may if approved, the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry under green category upto 31.12.2034 with usual conditions, please.
