It is intimated that the hospital is a small scale 30 beds capacity.
The hospital has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 through OCMMS for 30 beds.
The hospital has deposited Rs. 18,000/- Vide UTR/Reference No. SBIN423293587046 Dated 20.10.2023 and Rs. 10,000/- Vide UTR/Reference No. 896719091 Dated 22.12.2025 under Water Act 1974, which is adequate upto 31.03.2030.
The hospital was visited by AEE of this office on 01.01.2026 and it was observed that:
1. The hospital was in operation during visit.
2. The hospital has submitted copy of agreement with M/s Meridian Millieu Care Private Limited, Village Bir Pind, Tehsil Nakodar, District Jalandhar for 30 beds capacity.
3. The hospital has provided color coded bins at various locations inside its premises. The segregation was found proper.
4. The hospital has made arrangement for liquid waste treatment through Sodium Hypo-chloride solutions.
5. The hospital has provided sewerage bills issued by MC, Jalandhar. Effluent is sent to terminal STP.
6. The hospital has provided needle shredders at various locations, which were found in operational condition. The hospital has maintained record of bio medical waste generated & lifted to CBWTF. From the record it is clear that the hospital is regularly getting its Bio-Medical waste lifted to CBWTF.
7. The hospital has provided final room with lock and key facility for storage of Bio-Medical Waste.
8. The hospital is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the hospital upto 31.03.2030 with suitable conditions please.
