It is intimated that earlier the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention& control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted to the HCF vide online reference no. CTOW/Renewal/PKT/2022/20502011 & CTOA/Renewal/PKT/2022/20502007 dated 01/12/2022, which were valid upto 30/09/2027 for OPD only along with certain conditions under the name & style of M/s Thind Eye Hospital, SCO-8, TMT Scheme, Saili Road, Pathankot.
Now, the HCF has applied for obtaining varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for 05 bed hospital through OCMMS in a totally paperless manner by uploading necessary documents as PDF under the name & style of Dr. Thind Eye Care Private Limited, SCO-8, TMT Scheme, Saili Road, Tehsil & District- Pathankot.
The hospital has deposited Rs. 5,000/- vide UTR No. 625516430 dated 30/12/2025 & Rs. 5,000/- vide UTR No. 121670179 dated 31/12/2025 as consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 fee, which is adequate upto 31/12/2030. The Hospital was visited by officer of this office on 02/01/2026 and observed as under:-
1. The hospital comprising of 05 beds engaged in the process of providing medical services.
2. The HCF has provided waste water treatment system by providing hypochlorite solution of strength 1% at the lab, operation theater etc. The treated effluent is discharge into MC Sewer of Pathankot. Further, terminal STP is available at MC, Pathankot.
3. The HCF has provided colour coded bins for the segregation of the Bio Medical Waste and has provided common storage room for the lifting of same.
4. The HCF has provided needle destroyers for shredding of needles.
5. The HCF is maintaining the record of Bio Medical Waste lifted by CBWTF.
6. The HCF has provided for obtaining authorization under BMW Rules, 2016, which is being dealt separately and is under process.
In this regard, it is intimated that the said HCF is connected with Public Sewer of Pathankot City, which leads to STP installed by MC, Pathankot (Agenda Note is also attached herewith).
In view of above, it is recommended that Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31/12/2030 for 05 beds with suitable conditions.
