It is submitted that earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide No. CTOW/Renewal/LDH1/2020/1294690 dated 08/10/2020 which is valid up to 30/06/2025 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act,1981 vide No. CTOA/Renewal/LDH1/2020/12946880 dated 07/10/2020 which is valid up to 30/06/2025 for manufacturing of 500 Numbers/Day sewing machine parts by using raw material Pig iron scrap/Degi boora 5 T/day. The paint shop generates the waste of 7 Kgs/day. The discharge of trade effluent @ 0.2 KLD Lifted by M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana and domestic effluent of 2.5 KLD into sewer.
Now the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of 500 Numbers/Day sewing machine parts by using raw material Pig iron scrap/Degi boora 5 T/day. The paint shopee generates the solid waste of 7 Kgs/day. The discharge of trade effluent @ 0.4 KLD Lifted by M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana and domestic effluent of 8.0 KLD into sewer.
The industry has filled an online application form, Compliance of earlier granted consent, uploaded Latest CA certificate, manufacturing process, proof of date of commissioning, approved building plan, Agreement with JBR (valid for 3 yrs).
The industry has deposited Rs. 1,13,400/- vide R.no.223449633 dated 09.10.2025, under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 1,10,160/- vide R.no. 41696536 dated 15.07.2025 under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 21600/- vide R.no. 331249058 dated 20.11.2025 along with NOC regularization fee and Rs. 3240/- vide no. 845499873 dated 15.11.2025 as balance fee. After deducting the penalty fee and previous fee. The adequacy of fee deposit is up to 30.06.2029.
The industry was visited by the officers of the Board on 09.12.2025 and it was observed that: -
1. The industry was in operation during visit and engaged in the manufacturing of Sewing Machines.
2. The industry has installed 3 nos. furnaces out of which two were in operation and one is stand - by.
3. The process of the industry includes Casting - Machining - Putting for surface cleaning – Putty Washing – Spray Gun Coating - Heat Treatment – Finishing – Packing.
4. The industry has made agreement with M/s JBR Technologies of 10000 liter/month which is valid for 3 yrs i.e. upto 25.04.2026.
5. The industry has installed one no. storage tank of capacity 3000 Ltrs.
6. The industry has installed separate water meter at fresh water supply and the reading during visit was 815.39 KL. The record maintained by the industry regarding water consumption and effluent lifting was verified during the visit and the details are mentioned in the note:
7. The industry has last lifted their effluent on 15-12-2025.
8. During the visit the record was verified of water consumption and lifting and the same was found in order.
9. The industry has also installed one no. submersible pump with flow meter installed on it having reading 815.39 KL.
10. The industry has installed 3 nos. of ovens having capacity of 24 KVA.
In view of the above, it is recommended as under the renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted up to 30.06.2029 as per the policy of the Board.
