It is submitted that the subject cited industry is a small scale Red category unit. Earlier, the industry was visited by officers of the Board on 23.04.2025 and found it not complying with the environmental laws. Accordingly, direction u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 were issued for disconnection of electric connection available to the industry vide no. 3404-05 dated 09.06.2025.
Thereafter the industry was granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH2/2025/28934324 dated 27/06/2025 valid upto 26/12/2025 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/LDH2/2025/28934312 dated 27/06/2025 valid upto 30/06/2028 after making compliance of earlier violations. The electric connection of the industry was also restored temporarily for six months.
Further, , the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The industry was visited by the AEE of the Board on 31.12.2025 and found it complying. The industry has submitted building plan prepared by Sh. Rajnish Kumar Singla approved Architect from Director of Factories, Punjab. The industry is located in Industrial zone as per khasra no.s mentioned in the Govt. gazette.
As the industry has made compliance of earlier violations. The industry has already deposited Rs. 1 lac vide R. No. 15/5611 dated 26.06.2025 as Environmental Compensation.
In view of above, may if approved,
1. 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30/06/2028. (Competency – Senior Environmental Engineer).
2. PSPCL authorities may be directed to restore the electric connection available with the industry, permanently. (Competency: Chief Environmental Engineer)
