The industry was earlier issued show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 vide Zonal Office letter no. 5909-10 dated 23.12.2025. The industry has submitted a letter dated 27.11.2025 stating that work for APCD upgradation is in progress and has requested time up to 31.12.2025 along with payment proof made to M/s Ashoka Engineering Works. Now, the industry has submitted its written reply dated 30.12.2025 (copy attached) and stated that :- 1. The water meters installed at the inlet and outlet of the STP and RO system were found not working due to technical problems. Necessary action has already been taken for their repair / replacement. These meters made functional and proper records of water consumption, treated water, and recycled water will be maintained and submitted. 2. Records related to STP operation, water consumption, recycled water, and chemical usage are being organized and maintained regularly. (Photographs attached with this letter) 3. The mandatory EPR authorization for waste tubes. Sir, We are manufacturing very less qty of tubes and hence generating very less qty of waste tube. We will obtain EPR authorization for waste tubes within one month after get consent to operate. 4. Upgradation of the Air Pollution Control Device (double-stage wet scrubber) attached to the boiler work done through M/s Ashoka Engineering Works. Now Completed/ installed new wet scrubber and made the system fully operational. We will submit air sample report to your good office within two days tested by govt. approved laboratory (wet scrubber Photographs attached with this letter). 5. The industry is fully committed to environmental protection and assures full compliance with all applicable provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 within the given time. 6. We have installed APCD to control the dust emission generated at mixing of raw material with proper height, we have ash disposal agreement with Grewal Service 01.04.2024 to 31.03.2027 (Photographs attached with this letter).
The industry is complying with all the observations raised in the show cause notice issued to it.
Keeping in view of above, may if approved, consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted for six months with special condition that :- 1. The industry shall obtain EPR for waste tyres as notified vide notification dated 21/7/2022 under the Hazardous and other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement ) Amendment Rules 2022, within one month. 2. The industry shall get its stack emission samples analyzed from the Board’s Lab within one month.
