File Note: It is submitted that the industry is a small scale red category unit and has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with requisite documents. The industry has deposited consent fee against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 6.52 Lacs as on 14/12/2025 as per CA Certificate dated 14/12/2025, which is adequate upto 31/03/2028 under both Acts, as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018 after deducting penalty charges 200% and NOC Regularization fee for increase in the fixed assets. The industry was visited by the undersigned on 31.12.2025 and it was observed as under: 1. The industry was in operation during visit. 2. The industry is engaged in manufacturing of Zinc Plating and wire drawing of cycle parts on job basis @ 2 T/day by using raw material as M.S. Round @ 2 T/day, H2SO4 @ 20 Kgs/day, Caustic @ 10 Kgs/day, Boric Acid @ 1 Kgs/day, Zinc Metal @ 2 Kgs/day and Brightener @ 1 Liter/day. 3. The process chart of the industry is as Acid – Dhol – Washing – Zinc – Washing - Ready. 4. The industry has made agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd. (Unit-II), Kohara, Ludhiana (re-processor) for disposal of its trade effluent 1500 ltr/month. 5. The industry has made agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana (CETP) for disposal of its trade effluent 3000 ltr/month. 6. The industry has installed 02 no. water meters on pipelines from where fresh water is consumed in the process. The reading of water meter on pickling section is 17.32 KL and electroplating section is 17.37 KL. 7. The industry is maintaining record w.r.t. fresh water consumption for the wet process & effluent lifted to re-processor. The audit report is enclosed herewith. 8. The industry has installed 01 no. CCTV camera in the pickling section which cover both the process area and the meter and 01 no. camera in electroplating section covering the storage tank. The industry was guided to install the cameras on both fresh water meters. 9. The industry has not provided separate storage tank for storage of spent acid and the industry was guided to install the same and make its storage capacity atleast at par with agreement quantities. 10. The industry has not installed any D.G set. 11. Domestic effluent generated by the industry is discharged into sewer. 12. The industry has submitted building plan prepared by Sh. Lokinder Bansal approved Architect from Director of Factories, Punjab. Site suitability The site of the industry falls in Industrial Area-C as per khasra no’s mentioned in the gazette notification. In the subject cited case, the industry has mentioned ground water extraction @ 0.98 KLD. Considering 25 working days per month, ground water extraction will be 24.5 KL/month, which is not more than exempted quantity. In view of above, it is recommended that 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31/03/2028 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
