The industry is a orange category medium scale unit. The industry was earlier granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 vide CTOW/Varied/LDH1/2025/27368408 Date of issue : 14/01/2025 Date of expiry : 30/09/2029 & Air Act, 1981 CTOA/Varied/LDH1/2024/27367407 Date of issue : 31/12/2024 Date of expiry : 31/12/2025 for manufacturing of FORGED COMPONENTS @ 25 T/day by using ALLOY STEEL OF DIFFERENT GRADES @ 35 T/day.
Present case for renew Consent to Operate:
Now industry has applied for renew consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of forged components @ 25 TPD by using ALLOY STEEL OF DIFFERENT GRADES @ 35 T/day.
Present status:
The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 24.12.2024 and observed that:
1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in the production of Forged components.
2. The industry has installed two no. oil fired forging furnaces with 2 Ton hammer, out of which one no. forging furnace with 3 Ton hammer was in operation. Adequate stack has been provided.
3. The industry has installed two no. Shot Blast Machines with bag filter house as APCD and adequate stack height.
4. The industry has used CBFS us as fuel in forging fired furnaces and in shot blast machine.
5. The industry has installed 1 hardening & tempering furnace with CBFS used as fuel.
6. The industry has installed 4 nos. electric induction billet heater.
7. The industry has installed 01 no. electric fired hammer of capacity 3 TPH.
8. The industry has installed one no. DG set of capacity 975 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
9. The industry has provided necessary arrangements to trap the process emissions and make necessary arrangements for sampling.
10. The industry has provided CCTV cameras focusing towards outlet of stack as well as fuel feeding points.
11. The industry does not generate any trade effluent only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
12. The industry has already submitted building plan prepared by approved Architect of Director of Factories, Punjab.
13. The industry is complying with the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as well as previous consent conditions granted to the industry under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
In view of above it is recommended that renewal 'Consent to Operate' under Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2029 with suitable terms and conditions, please.
