The industry was earlier granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 vide CTOW/Varied/LDH1/2020/13990880 Date of issue 07-10-2020 Date of expiry 07-10-2025 & Air Act, 1981 CTOA/Varied/LDH1/2020/13990740 Date of issue 07-10-2020 Date of expiry 07-10-2025 for manufacturing of ALL TYPE OF YARN @ 10 T/day by using ACRYLIC FIBER/POLYESTER @ 10.4 T/day
Present case for renew Consent to Operate:
Now industry has applied for renew consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for manufacturing of ALL TYPE OF YARN @ 10 T/day by using ACRYLIC FIBER/POLYESTER @ 10.4 T/day.
Present status:
The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 23.12.2025 and observed that:
1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in the production of ALL TYPE OF YARN.
2. The process of the industry includes Blow Room – Carding – Draw Frame – Speed Frame – Ring Frame – Cone WDG – CH WDH – Doubling – Knitting – Reeling – Packing.
3. There is no source of air pollution such as boiler, furnace except D.G set.
4. The industry has one D.G. set of capacity 500 KVA with adequate stack height & canopy.
5. There is no source of trade effluent generation & only domestic effluent @ 1.6 KLD is being discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank.
6. The industry has already submitted latest building plan prepared by approved Architect of Director of Factories, Punjab.
7. The industry is complying with the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as well as previous consent conditions granted to the industry under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
In view of above it is recommended that renewal 'Consent to Operate' under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 31.12.2030 with suitable terms and conditions, please.
