Sir, the application for Consent to Operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 has been scrutinised. The unit had earlier obtained CTO (Air) vide No. R14HSPCTOA1173095 dated 07.05.2014, valid up to 31.03.2019. Since the unit has not obtained CTO (Air) for a period exceeding six (06) years thereafter, the case attracts levy of penalty as per Board norms, i.e. 700% of one-year consent fee. The applicable one-year Air consent fee is ₹2,900/-, and accordingly the penalty works out to ₹20,300/- (₹2,900 × 7). The applicant has deposited ₹8,700/- with the present application and has also requested adjustment of ₹29,000/- deposited with the previous application vide receipt No. 507198924 dated 10.12.2025, which was returned earlier after scrutiny due to non-submission of coal register.
...Further, the unit has submitted CA Certificate dated 29.11.2025, copy of earlier CTO (Air), completion certificate issued by CSIR-CBRI for construction of Induced Draught Brick Kiln with zig-zag technology, plan and section of the kiln vide drawing No. Ta /554, and CA-certified coal register for the period January 2019 to March 2020. |
