The HCF was earlier Granted Consent to Operate vide no. CTOW/Fresh/BTI/2024/26196475 dated 11.10.2025 valid upto 31.12.2025 under the Water Act, 1974 and vide no. CTOA/Fresh/BTI/2024/26197382 dated 11.10.2025 valid upto 31.12.2025 under the Air Act, 1981.
Now the HCF applied for renewal of Consent to Operate on OCMMS under the both Acts.
It is submitted that the HCF was visited by the officer of this office on dated 06.01.2026 and it was observed as follows:
1. 1. The HCF is a 30 bedded Hospital. The bio-medical waste generating points of HCE were visited and found that segregation of bio medical waste was proper in all sections.
2. The final BMW collection room was also checked and no mixing was found.
3. The HCE has provided final waste collection room with bio hazard symbol.
4. The HCF has installed ETP which was in running condition, However, no man force was available to operate the ETP and unit representative submitted that the ETP is auto operated. Instead of installation of ETP by HCF, the effluent of HCF was being disposed on to Soakage Pit. It was observed that the partial untreated effluent was being disposed on the soakage pit. No flow meter was installed at outlet and inlet of ETP.
In view of above, it is recommended that the Show cause notice for refusal of Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may be issued to the HCF, Please.
